Abstract: 365 Days Mee&Jey

As travelling artist from 2013 to 2017 Mee & Jey have consciously subjected themselves to extended degrees of physical and psychological discomforts. These discomforts were lived as experiences with regards to riding motorbike for long hours, enduring acute weather, altered food and sleeping time as per the time of host family.

Taking the idea of comfort; physical as well as mental, Mee & Jey are performing 365 days video series to test their physical, psychological and creative limits.

This 2-minute video series is about the banality of life, seemingly meaninglessness of the daily chores and issues of existential dilemma experienced in everyday life.

मी और जे के 365 दिन

यायावर कलाकारों के तौर पर 2013 से लेकर 2017 तक मी और जे ने खुद को जानते हुए और अनजाने में बहुत सारी मुश्किलों में डाला है. ये मुश्किलें शारीरिक, मानसिक और मनोवैज्ञानिक रहीं. ये दिक्कतें उन यात्राओं का निचोड़ भी रहीं जिसमें मोटरसाइकिल पर घंटों बैठने का कष्ट हो या भारी बारिश में भीगते हुए पहाड़ों पर चलना, अलग अलग भोजना करना और अलग अलग समय पर सोना (मेजबान के रहमो करम पर) शामिल रहा है.

शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से आराम के आइडिया को लेते हुए मी और जे पूरे साल एक वीडियो सीरिज़ कर रहे हैं जिसमें एक बार फिर से उनकी सीमाओं की पहचान करने की कोशिश वो कर रहे हैं. चाहे वो सीमाएं क्रिएटिविटी की हो, शारीरिक हों या मनोवैज्ञानिक हों.

दो मिनट के ये वीडियो हर दिन के जीवन में अस्तित्व के संकट से जूझते रहने, दैनन्दिन कामों के बेमतलपने और जीवन की नश्वरता के इर्द गिर्द होंगे दो हम हर दिन महसूस करते हैं.
